It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men -- Frederick Douglass

Week long workshop in December 2011

Because of your support we have been able to conduct a week long workshop in December 2011 in which 50 Haitian teachers from 15 different schools were trained in a curriculum for teaching human rights, respect to children and the environment. With this material, the teachers were taught by professors from the University of Cincinnati, Blue AshCampus and Northern Kentucky University to create lesson plans with objectives. This is the most sustainable project to impact the restavek system-- empowering Haitian teachers to impact the hearts and minds of the next generation. We plan to hold the workshop twice a year for the next ten years.
